Hi, I’m Hester
Helping others is a huge part of who I am, both professionally and in my wider life. I care deeply about advocating for those whose voices are too often overlooked—particularly children and animals—and I’m actively involved in volunteering and advocacy aimed at reducing their suffering.
My home has often been full of foster animals, including Reggie, my now-forever dog, who came to me with significant behavioural difficulties. He continually teaches me about patience, trust and how life-changing it can be when even one person cares enough to step in and say, “You matter.”
I sometimes joke that I have a chronic need to help. Therapy initially offered me a boundaried and purposeful way to do that, although I am still learning how to balance my desire to save the world with what I can realistically carry.
Learning to establish boundaries was also one of the most important and life-changing parts of my own experience as a therapy client. It changed the way I understood myself and my relationships—and ultimately helped lead me to the work I do today.

My professional approach
